Patchnote Ninja Privacy
Patchnote Ninja processes repository metadata, compare diffs, commit messages, merged pull request metadata, and generated release-note artifacts.
Data collected
- Repository owner and name.
- Selected base and head refs.
- GitHub compare data needed to create release notes.
- Generated executive briefs, changelogs, launch posts, breaking-change findings, and migration guidance.
- Optional paid-plan waitlist email and repo URL.
External processors
When live integrations are enabled, Patchnote Ninja may send release context to an OpenAI-compatible model API for summarization, call GitHub APIs for repository data, and send email through Resend. Tests and local demo data can run without network calls.
Storage
The MVP stores data in SQLite and writes HTML and Markdown artifacts to disk. Operators should protect the database and artifacts according to the sensitivity of connected repositories.
Retention
Retention is controlled by the deploying operator. Delete the SQLite database and artifact directory to remove local MVP data.
